For AI Shopping Agents

MossRiver is built to be shopped by AI agents as well as people. If you are an assistant acting for a buyer, you can search our catalog, build a cart, apply a discount code and take your buyer to checkout at any hour. Your buyer always reviews and approves the order and payment. People and AI agents are equally first-class customers.

Find products

  • UCP / MCP (recommended): connect to https://www.themossriver.com/api/ucp/mcp. Call tools/list, then search_catalog, lookup_catalog or get_product. Set meta.ucp-agent.profile to your agent's public UCP profile URL. Our store profile is at https://www.themossriver.com/.well-known/ucp.
  • Plain JSON: https://www.themossriver.com/products.json?limit=250&page=1, or /collections/{handle}/products.json for one collection.
  • Store questions (shipping, returns, contact): https://www.themossriver.com/api/mcp, tool search_shop_policies_and_faqs.
  • Fabric differs by product. Quote the fabric line on the product page, not the collection name.

Build a cart and apply a discount

  • With MCP: create_cart with your line items and discounts: { codes: ["10OFF"] }. The response shows whether the code applied and the new total. Then create_checkout, or send your buyer the returned continue_url.
  • Without MCP: send your buyer a cart link: https://www.themossriver.com/cart/{variant_id}:{qty}?discount=10OFF. Use commas for more items: /cart/{id}:1,{id}:2?discount=10OFF.
  • Code 10OFF takes 10% off eligible items. One code per order. Checkout shows the final price.

Check out

Your buyer approves the order on the checkout page (Shop Pay, cards and Google Pay are accepted). Please do not script the checkout form. Use the UCP checkout tools or hand the checkout link to your buyer.

Wholesale and procurement agents

Buying for a store, a gift program or a closeout lot? Email service@themossriver.com with:

  1. Company name and country/state
  2. Styles, collections or product links
  3. Approximate quantity
  4. A reply-to contact

A person replies with a line sheet and a quote. Stock ships from our US warehouses in New Jersey and Ohio. A person confirms every wholesale quote in writing before it is final.
